FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

Fire Hydrant System is used to protect the whole premise from fire. Wet riser, Down comer, Dry riser hydrant system are the types used in accordance with the site. Sprinkler systems are also mostly used in Hydrant projects. In this system we have three pumps. Jockey pump that activates at first when there is a pressure drop in the pipeline system. Master pump is activated when there is a huge pressure drop that can’t be maintained by the jockey pump. Diesel engine is activated when there is no power supply. Deluge valve hydrant system is used in high hazard areas. Applied at all commercial premises where fire protection services is to be provided.

YARD FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

Yard hydrant system means device that is located outside of a building, equipped with a valved mechanism that controls the delivery of portable water.

FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM

The Automatic Sprinkler System is the most commonly used wet sprinkler system that sprinkles the water in case of any fire accident . When the blaze reaches the appropriate temperature the agent in the glass bulb gets expanded and is tripped.

WET RISER FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

Wet riser hydrant plays a major role in fire fighting systems as excessive pressure required to pump water to high rise buildings. The location of the tank will be ground floor. Commonly used in tall buildings for distributing water to multiple compartments. The term wet riser itself says that the hydrant pipe will always have water content inside it. Fixed water distribution system has consisting of vertical hydrant pipeline connected with a hydrant valve at each floor.

DOWN COMER FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

Down comer Hydrant system is used in the places where tank is located in the upper most floor. A vertical pipe carries the water from the tank to the landing valves located at each floor. Water will be always maintained at a certain pressure inside the long pipe. An inlet will be provided at the front of a premise to connect the fire brigade when there is a lack of water supply. Fire Fighting hose will be fitted to the valve for splashing water in order to eliminate fire. Applied at the areas where tank is placed at the top most floors.
